Another totally necessary game adaptation

According to Hollywood Reporter, Warner Bros. is looking to to turn the mobile game Temple Run into a feature film. The plot? An explorer has stolen an idol and must now escape from demonic forces. Annnnd we’re done. Were you expecting any different?

The company is said to have Harry Potter producer David Heyman attached to the movie and its next step is to find a writer. The worst part about this is, as much as I want to poke fun at the possibility of a big-screen adaptation of an endless runner, I know full well that there’s just enough to Temple Run‘s “story” and its name is recognizable enough for such a project to be a roaring success under the right direction. Actually, that last part probably isn’t crucial.
