Here’s a cinematic trailer for Risen 2: Dark Waters, and it’s quite a slickly produced one. It also features pirates, guns and big scary sea monsters. All in all, it looks like a significant departure from the original Risen, might not be a bad thing.
The first Risen had a lot of heart, but its slow pace and tendency to put overwhelmingly deadly enemies everywhere really held it back. I’m hoping to beat it before this one is ready, but I’m not sure if that’ll ever happen.
In any case, Dark Waters is officially on my watch list. There aren’t enough pirate-themed roleplayers on the market.
