Yarg! Chip Ship is a chip-piano mashup for pirates

And by pirates, I mean of the literal variety

Last year, French composer Yoann Turpin released his very first album, Rhythm’n’Bits. It straddled a few lines by incorporating both chip sounds and live instruments for a funk-fusion style inspired by 16-bit RPGs. For his follow-up, Chip Ship, he hangs up the sword and shield, hoists the ol’ Jolly Roger, and sets sail on a seafaring journey.

Yoann once again weaves chiptune, FM synth, and piano together, sending the listener to various islands each represented by a different song. But though the hero of this aural adventure may be a pirate, his bountiful booty is not free for all to plunder. You can download Chip Ship from Bandcamp for €7 (~$8.96) or Amazon for $7.99.
