Yakuza Of The End videos confirm celebrities, drama, guns

In case you were thinking that Sega’s zombie-themed Yakuza game, Yakuza Of The End, was some cheap cash-in on the already-moldering zombie-game trend, you’d be wrong. It’s certainly a cash-in, but they’re going all out, if these two new trailers are any indication.

The first one confirms that all the overwrought drama characteristic of any Yakuza title is still in there, and the second gameplay-oriented trailer below shows off the franchise’s absolute love of minigames, product placement, and new gun-based zombie-swarm fighting.

Tanks, upgradable weapons, NPC allies, a random dungeon mode, hostesses, and a short Shenmue-homage forklift-driving sequence are also included. Oh, and three Japanese TV stars, David Ito, Terry Ito, and Esper Ito will be appearing as zombies in the game. You can even play ping-pong with zombie Esper Ito, who you might know as a pioneer of the soda-bottle rocket pack stunt.
