This Wednesday, I had the pleasure of representing Destructoid at the Xfire Debate Club to discuss the future of the Call of Duty franchise. Five other gaming commentators and myself, moderated by Dan Hsu, came together to discuss all kinds of junk about Call of Duty‘s future.
Where might the next games be set, and in what time period? Why doesn’t Call of Duty‘s multiplayer have the same staying power as other multiplayer games? Is Call of Duty turning into the next Madden? These questions and some others were attacked, or tackled, or whatever violent verb you want to use as a metaphor for “discussed,” throughout the hourlong debate.
You can read the whole thing here, if you like. I quite enjoyed participating, and I’d be glad to represent Dtoid again in the future.
