Xbox’s summer promotion gives you store credit for spending money on certain spotlighted games

$50 gets you $5 or $10 back

You’ve gotta spend money to make money. The more you spend, the more you save. You gotta crack a few eggs to make an omelette.

That’s the prevailing logic with the Xbox Summer Spotlight indie sale. Through the end of August, buying certain ID@Xbox indie games on Xbox One will go toward earning money back over the course of the event. Spend $50 total and get $5 in store credit. However, Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscribers double up and get $10 instead of $5.

Here are the games that are currently eligible in the Xbox Summer Spotlight promotion:

  • Aircraft Evolution — $7.99
  • Allison’s Diary: Rebirth — Coming soon
  • Bounty Battle — Coming soon
  • Carrion — $19.99
  • Desperados III — $59.99
  • Liquid Sunshine — $7.99
  • Little Big Workshop — $15.99
  • Max and the Book of Chaos — Coming soon
  • Ooblets (Game preview) — $19.99
  • PES 21 Season Update Standard Edition — $29.99
  • Rainswept — $8.99
  • Rock of Ages 3: Make & Break — $29.99
  • Rogue Company Standard Founder’s Pack — $29.99
  • Spongebob SquarePants: Battle for Bikini Bottom Rehydrated — $29.99
  • Superhot: Mind Control Delete — $14.99
  • Tannenberg — $17.99
  • Turok: Escape from Lost Valley — Coming soon
  • Warhammer 40,000: Mechanicus — $39.99
  • World of Tanks: Independence — Free

New ID@Xbox games will be added to the list every week. It’s not the best deal we’ve ever seen, but it’ll stretch some people’s dollar a little further.
