Xbox reveals its Countdown to 2014 sales

Borderlands kicks off the daily deals

As Microsoft is one to do annually, tomorrow begins a new sale on Xbox games and add-ons to celebrate the end of another year. The event, which will last until December 23, features a series of downloads that are available for the duration of the sale, and a handful that are only discounted for one day at a time.

The first daily deal is Borderlands 2 themed, as the Games on Demand version will see 75% slashed off its price. Other add-ons such as the season pass and Bloody Harvest are discounted as well. Curiously, Terraria is also thrown in the mix.

As for the mainstay deals, there isn’t a whole lot to talk about. Most savings are either not that significant, or on games that might qualify as ancient by now. Notably, a final (and large) discount is being offered on both Marvel vs. Capcom 2 and Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3 before they both disappear from the digital storefront forever.
