Xbox says that it wants its players to play the best games in the world. It’s making good on that promise this afternoon.

A bombshell from the Xbox E3 2019 press conference is that Phantasy Star Online 2 is coming west next year. You’ll be able to play it on Xbox One and PC in the spring of 2020. It’ll be free to play.

Phantasy Star Online 2 is one of the world’s biggest MMOs and it has been only available in Japan. That’s gonna change, and that’s huge news. Chalk this one up as a big win for Xbox.
