The Xbox One bombed in Japan and continues to not do well. In fact, over the holiday weekend, Head of Xbox Japan Takashi Sensui stepped down.
But according to Head of Xbox Phil Spencer, Japan’s lack of interest in the system won’t keep Japanese-style role-playing games from coming to the console. “You will see JRPGs on Xbox One,” Spencer tweeted in response to a fan, though Spencer also noted he hasn’t talked to Mistwalker “in a while.”
Not sure who’ll be making these Xbox One JRPGs. Until then, there’s Costume Quest 2, I guess.
