Funcom Project Manager, Erling Ellingsen, recently spoke to Eurogamer about the Xbox 360 version of Age of Conan. Ellingsen was fairly forward about the developer’s plans to continue to move forward with the title on the console, although reluctant to divulge any substantial details regarding its release.
The Xbox 360 version is still very much set to happen and we are working on it. However, there are no dates set, even though we aim for a 2009 release. Our big priority now is, of course, the PC version and fixing the issues with it and improving it for our current players.
I think everyone that has a tingle for a console MMO has wanted to see Age of Conan, in some shape or form, on the Xbox 360. The current MMOs for the console feel dated, and certainly lack GMs willing to cybersex with customers. When I slap my money on the counter for an MMO, I expect naughty conversations.
