[Update: It looks like the PlayStation 3 will be getting the “Suburb” map afterall. Speaking with Erin Daly, a designer on the multiplayer portion of Homefront, the PS3 owners will get access to the map… they’ll just have to be patient.]

Today at its New York City showcase, THQ has announced that Xbox 360 will be the first to get downloadable content for its upcoming first-person shooter, Homefront.

The only details revealed so far are that it will be a an exclusive map called “Suburb” for the game’s multiplayer mode, coming to Xbox 360 before it hits the PlayStation 3. The reason why details are scarce is because “Inside Xbox,” the Xbox Live digital program, will have more details next week. We’ll keep an eye on that for you, don’t worry.

Homefront is scheduled for a March 8 release for Xbox 360, PS3, and PC.
