In World of Warcraft: The War Within, one of the new Hero Talents for the Paladin class is the Herald of the Sun. It is one of the three Hero Talents available for Paladin alongside the Lightsmith and Templar. Herald of the Sun is available to both Retribution and Holy Paladins. All Herald of the Sun Paladin Hero Talents

Heralds of the Sun develop a deep bond to the sun and solar energy, using it to burn enemies and cauterize their allies wounds. They can manifest potent solar rays while fully connected to the light. Harnessing the power of the sun’s rays, these are all of the Hero Talent choices for Herald of the Sun Paladin:

  • Dawnlight (Passive) – Casting Holy Prism or Barrier of Faith causes your next 2 Holy Power spending abilities to apply Dawnlight on your target, dealing 27,047 Radiant damage or 54,095 healing over 8 sec. 10% of Dawnlight’s damage and healing radiates to nearby allies or enemies, reduced beyond 5 targets.
  • 2 Possible Choices
    • Morning Star (Passive) – Every 5.0 sec, your next Dawnlight’s damage or healing is increased by 5%, stacking up to 10 times. Morning Star stacks twice as fast while out of combat.
    • Gleaming Rays (Passive) – While a Dawnlight is active, your Holy Power spenders deal 10% additional damage or healing.
  • Eternal Flame (Replaces World of Glory – 3 Holy Power, 3,524 Mana, 40 y d range) – Instant- Heals an ally for 22,638 and an additional 8,120 over 20 sec. Healing increased by 25% when cast on self.
  • Luminosity (Passive) – Critical Strike chance of Holy Shock and Light of Dawn increased by 10%.
  • 2 Possible Choices
    • Illumine (Passive) – Dawnlight reduces the movement speed of enemies by 50% and increases the movement speed of allies by 20%.
    • Will of the Dawn (Passive) – Movement speed increased by 5% while above 80% health. When your health is brought below 35%, your movement speed is increased by 40% for 5 sec. Cannot occur more than once every 60 sec.
  • 2 Possible Choices
    • Blessing of An’she (Passive) – Your damage and healing over time effects have a chance to increase the healing or damage of your next Holy Shock by 200%.
    • Lingering Radiance (Passive) – Dawnlight leaves an Eternal Flame for 12 sec on allies or a Greater Judgment on enemies when they expire or are extended.
  • Sun Sear (Passive) – Holy Shock and Light of Dawn critical strikes cause the target to be healed for an additional 5,409 over 4 sec.
  • Aurora (Passive) – After you cast Holy Prism or Barrier of Faith, gain Divine Purpose. Holy Power abilities have a 15% chance to make your next Holy Power ability free and deal 15% increased damage and healing.
  • Solar Grace (Passive) – Your Haste is increased by 4% for 12 sec each time you apply Dawnlight. Multiple stacks may overlap.
  • Second Sunrise (Passive) – Light of Dawn and Holy Shock have a 15% chance to cast again at 30% effectiveness.
  • Sun’s Avatar (Passive) – During Avenging Wrath, you become linked to your Dawnlights, causing 1,960 Radiant damage to enemies or 1,960 healing to allies that pass through the beams, reduced beyond 5 targets. Activating Avenging Wrath applies 4 Dawnlight onto nearby allies or enemies and increases Dawnlight’s duration by 25%.
