World of Warcraft’s latest patch sends you back to old dungeons

You’ll Never (Time)Walk Alone

Blizzard’s giving World of Warcraft players the opportunity to return to their old stomping grounds. Some of the dungeons that they honed their skills in will once again be playable thanks to the game’s latest update.

According to Blizzard, Patch 6.2 will introduce seven different weekend events every week. “Two of those events will be Timewalking weekends, in which you’ll be able to queue up for a randomly selected old-school dungeon with a new sort of ‘heroic’ difficulty,” the developer says.

Timewalking is the kitschy name given to re-crawling through these dungeons of yesteryear. Running these dungeons won’t be easier now, because revisiting them will scale your character and his gear down. However, the loot doesn’t take a hit, as it’s scaled up to your current level.
