Future is planning to give World of Warcraft fans an eyeful of editorial. The company just announced a partnership with Blizzard Entertainment to publish World of Warcraft: The Magazine, or A Nerd’s Dream. To be sold quarterly and only via subscription, the magazine will cover all facets of the super-popular MMO.
According to official release, Future plans to offer two subscription plans. A one-year subscription is $39.95, while a two-year package will cost $69.95. Europeans will have to pay 34.95 EUR and 61.25 respectively.
The first issue contains 148 pages of World of Warcraft stuff officially sponsored by Blizzard, so we imagine that even the voracious MMO Internet reader will find something that hasn’t been posted on a blog. Probably.
The magazine is debuting at BlizzCon 2009 at Future’s booth. The publisher plans to sell subscriptions at the event and is giving away green murloc plushies to any that lay down the coin. The magazine will also be sold through the game’s Account Management tab and at this official Web site (which launches tomorrow).
