World of Warcraft cookbook coming for folks with a taste for fantasy

If Kobold curry isn’t a thing, it should be

I’ve always been a sucker for gimmick recipes. I love an excuse to get drunk on cocktails tangentially related to a game (drinking straight gin is a bad look, drinking straight gin with a bit of blue food coloring in it and calling it a “mana potion” is delightful), or to try a bunch of strange appetizers because Game of Thrones is back on and someone bought you the recipe book for Christmas. That’s why I’m excited to see World of Warcraft getting into the mix with its own recipe book.

Scheduled to be released in October, World of Warcraft: The Official Cookbook promises to include all kinds of delicious and silly recipes based on the game. Beer Basted Boar Ribs, Ironforge Rations (basically an open faced haggis sandwich), and Junglevine Wine are some of the sample recipes. I’m holding out hope for Murloc Frittatas.

Check out some of the recipes in the gallery below. Gotta say, the Dragon’s Breath Chili looks pretty damn good.
