World didn’t end, have a Majora’s Mask arrange album

Soundtrack to the Mayan apocalypse

Imagine that. Nothing happened. Certainly today was to be the end of the world according to the Mayans, even though the Mayans never actually said that. Either way, hurray for life!

As we mentioned yesterday, musician Theophany had a countdown page, and once the clock reached zero, he unveiled Time’s End: Majora’s Mask Remixed, an arrangement album of one of the best — if not the best — Zelda game ever. Peppered in key spots are live instruments and vocals, truly giving the sense of impending doom. Just listen to “Clocktown” and be amazed!

This is merely the first part of a project that will eventually cover the entire Majora’s Mask soundtrack. You can download it for free from the countdown site above, or you can slide on over to the Bandcamp page and toss in a donation of your choosing. Whatever works!
