Wolf of the Battlefield: Commando 3 hits PSN today, XBLA on June 11

In what may be a first, Capcom has announced today that digital download Wolf of the Battlefield: Commando 3 will be coming to PlayStation Network today, days before it hits Xbox LIVE Arcade on Wednesday, June 11.

The top-down pew-pew shooter will cost gamers $9.99, and will be available on PSN this evening. As I stated before, Xbox 360 owners will have to wait until next Wednesday, and the game will cost 800 MS Points. Will the wait be worth it? Well, considering the XBLA version also gets you access to the Super Street Fighter II Turbo HD Remix beta test, well, maybe you can sit tight for a few extra days.

I’ve spent a good deal of time with Commando 3, and the short version of my impressions are: it’s got dual analog stick controls, and you can blow things up cooperatively. If that sounds like fun to you, pick it up. If not, is getting into that Street Fighter II beta worth $10 to you?
