Wizard with a Gun launches its co-op gunslinging survival on October 17

A wizard without a gun is still a wizard.

The co-op sandbox survival of Wizard with a Gun officially has a launch date. The gunslinger from developer Galvanic Games thankfully didn’t get the spotlight in the recent Devolver Delayed showcase, so look for this one to launch on October 17.

Those who pre-order can lock in the exclusive Noble Wizard Pack. The gear within includes Wizard King and Jester outfits, as well as a bonus hat. Wizards wouldn’t be wizards without hats, after all. You can see more in the new trailer below and check out a demo for a limited time.

Wizzrobe

Wizard with a Gun was first revealed back in June 2021 during Devolver’s typically madcap E3 showcase. Customization is the name of the game as you attempt to survive in a magical wilderness alone or with some friendly online assistance. The biomes—from deserts and swamps to open prairies—are procedurally generated and can be reset from your tower. If fashion is your thing, well, saddle up, pardner. Devolver shared a quick peek at the aforementioned bonus gear:

Playing off that customization, it sounds like experimentation is going to be a major component. Spell combinations affect enemies and the world in different ways. Trying out new things will either lead to great success (and destruction) or utter failure. Success is alright, but failure is always funny.

Galvanic Games previously released titles like Gurgamoth and Some Distant Memory. We’ll get a chance to take aim at Wizard with a Gun when it hits PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and Steam on October 17 for $24.99.
