Brain Age lands on Japanese eShop for free

It’s happening. The first Nintendo DS game has arrived on the Wii U eShop in Japan.

Brain Age, also known as Dr. Kawashima’s Brain Training, is presently available for free via the system’s regional Virtual Console. The educational puzzle game was initially released in 2005, and went on to sell more than 19 million copies worldwide. And, nearly a decade later, here it is again.

Nintendo first revealed plans to harness the portable’s software lineup on Wii U earlier this year, though it didn’t announce any particular titles or when we could expect them. That still remains the case, at least here in the West. Perhaps we’ll hear something soon, though.
