Wii Rage Guitar causes chemical burns, gets recalled

Ever felt burned by a third party peripheral? At least one particular player has, having suffered injuries thanks to the Rage Wireless Guitar Controller, designed for use with the Wii. After inflicting chemical burns on this poor gamer, the controller is being recalled.

Performance Designed Products Inc is recalling 57,000 units, which are made for use with the Wii version of Guitar Hero. Thanks to a manufacturing fault, improperly installed batteries are prone to leaking, turning the plastic toy guitar into a kind of musical Xenomorph.

The acid dribbling guitars are colored blue or white and would have been bought between the months of June and September of this year. If you fear you may have picked one of these items up, you can either go to www.pdp.com for a refund, or jam the batteries in wrong and let a friend play with it. Hilarity is sure to prevail!
