Why WiiWare is better in Japan: Shootanto:Kakohen

I know if you’re anything like me, you’re looking at the pic above going “What the eff…” and yet, you’re also feeling a bit of intrigue. Because you like strange things. I like the idea of playing a WiiWare title that doesn’t bore me, which seems like it could be the case with Shootanto:Kakahen, which comes out in Japan for WiiWare tomorrow.

The game basically pits you up against prehistoric creatures such as dinosaurs — apparently you use the light gun, but throw rocks at them. In the course of play, you evolve from a monkey to a caveman (or woman), which explains the picture above.

Odder than a barrel full of lemurs with hats? You bet. You can score this for 600 Wii points tomorrow if you live in Japan. Not the game of the year, sure, but worth a laugh over (and I admit I would download it just for fun if I was able).
