Who finished first in Splatoon 2’s battle of The Tortoise and The Hare?

This time, it’s personal

This weekend saw the international Splatoon 2 community don their best ink-repellent clothing and head into battle, as another splatfest aimed to put the world to rights. This time around the topic in question concerned the classic Aesop fable of The Tortoise and The Hare. Surely a rematch some several hundred years in the making.

This time around, no mistakes, no chilling out halfway through, no mid-race naps, The Hare has finally redeemed itself, taking a 2 – 1 victory over its reptilian friend. Slow and steady my ass. All speed, brother. Tortoise won the public vote by some 56% with Hare taking the remaining point in Normal and Challenge play. More importantly, this was the first win for Pearl in some time, breaking Marina’s comfy win streak.

While Splatoon 2 is slowly winding down as we approach summer, it’s still good to see these splatfests continue, along with support from Off the Hook and the global player community. Here’s hoping the fans receive news of a sequel or something similar in the near future.

Splatoon 2 is available now on Nintendo Switch.
