Nintendo has a cool little web app that lets you create wallpapers for your phone or computer, Mario Maker style. It’s only in Japanese, for now, but I’m confident you’ll be able to find your way around.
This tool isn’t nearly as extensive as what we’re used to seeing in the full game, but it does have four Mario styles, multiple themed backgrounds, and a decent sampling of items and enemies. Bowser still creeps me right the heck out with his new-for-2015 Super Mario World sprite.
Free from the shackles of Wii U’s anti-dong technology, someone on staff (can you guess who?) broke the tool in last night with this bad boy. Probably don’t click that link, kids.
