Where to find the Meteorite Staff in Elden Ring

You can find the Meteorite Staff at the Street of Sages Ruins in Caelid. From Limgrave, go eastward until the area becomes more like a red desert. For reference, the closest Site of Grace is the Aeonia Swamp Shore. From there, go north until youā€™re setting foot in the Scarlet Rot area.

To avoid being inflicted by Scarlet Rot, use your horse, Torrent, and do not dismount until you are not standing on the brown ooze. In this area, youā€™re going to be fighting a lot of Servants of Rot and Miranda Sprouts. Be careful because the Servants shoot projectiles that inflict Poison buildup, and the Sprouts can inflict Scarlet Rott buildup.Ā

Once youā€™re in this area, go a bit southwest until you find a piece of the ruins close to the cliff. You can go inside there and encounter a cluster of Sprouts defending an item at the window ledge.

You do need to be a bit agile and be prepared to die a few times, as thereā€™s a noticeable level increase between Limgrave and Caelid.

Meteorite Staff build

Once you have the Meteorite Staff, you actually do not need to upgrade it. It canā€™t be upgraded and already has a maxed-out Intelligence stat. Use it to your advantage because spells are going to hit so much harder.

Also, you ideally want to use this Staff if you use Gravity spells. As the passive effects list says, it ā€œboosts gravity sorceryā€. To be more specific, any purple spell will have their damage increased by 30%. Such spells include:

  • Gravity Well
  • Collapsing Stars
  • Rock Sling
  • Meteorite
  • Meteorite of Astel

One of the more popular and stronger spells to use in Elden Ring as a normal spell is Rock Sling. Conveniently enough, you can also find this spell in the same area where you found the Meteorite Staff.

Here is a list of recommended Talismans to use when wielding the Meteorite Staff:

  • Ragadon Icon
  • Cerulean Amber Medallion (+1 or +2 are more recommended)
  • Marikaā€™s Scarseal
  • Marikaā€™s Soreseal
  • Stargazer Heirloom
  • Graven-School Talisman
  • Graven-Mass Talisman

FP management will be a lot easier to deal with since you wonā€™t have to cast spells so much just to kill things. On top of that, you can and should spec heavily into Dexterity to boost the casting speed of your abilities. However, itā€™s good to note that anything above 70 points into DEX will not increase casting speed, capping it at that amount.

If you need a melee weapon to complement an Intelligence build, you can apply an Ash of War to any applicable light weapon with either Magic or Cold damage to get stat scaling in that category. A popular class of weapons to do this on are Katanas since they can stack one of those elements with Blood Loss.

Even with the nerfs to Cold and Blood Loss, they are still incredibly strong and are the perfect ways to incorporate melee into your magic build when FP is low.
