While working your way through different quests in Disney Dreamlight Valley, you’ll often be tasked with tracking down specific mission items, like Special Resin. These types of items only exist within the quest, which means figuring out where to find them can be tough.
Whenever you’re sent to gather materials for key tasks, you’re not given a whole lot of guidance. You’re only given a general area to search. This means there’s a good chance you may end up stuck, so here’s where to find Special Resin in Disney Dreamlight Valley.

How to get Special Resin in Disney Dreamlight Valley
The Special Resin Pocahontas asks you to find during the A Little Algae Problem quest can be obtained by visiting her Yehakin in the valley, otherwise known as her house. The exact location of this item varies for all players, as upon unlocking Pocahontas during the Whispers of the Wind quest, you’re allowed to set up her home anywhere you like.
When you reach this stage in the quest, you can find Pocahontas’s home by looking for the Mickey Mouse head icon marked with a purple circle on your map. All homes have the same icon, but only hers will have a special purple circle around it. If you have DLC worlds like Wishblossom Ranch or Eternity Isle, be sure to check over there, too, as you also may have set her up somewhere outside of the main valley.
Special Resin location in Disney Dreamlight Valley
You can find the Special Resin on the ground in Pocahontas’s house, next to the drum in the back right corner. Once you enter her home, walk past the glowing blue fire in the middle of the room, then look down to your right to spot it. It blends in with the environment quite well, but once you’re past the fire, the Special Resin will start sparkling, making it a bit easier to spot in the otherwise dark room.
Finding the Special Resin is just one of many key steps you need to work through during the A Little Algae Problem quest, but it’s certainly one of the toughest parts, so you should have a much easier time navigating through the rest of it after this part. Alongside this item, you also need to gather 15 Softwood, 10 Hardwood, six Clay, and four Glass to progress.
Once you’re done working your way through this mission, you can move on to other key tasks, like the A Raccoon’s Return quest, finding and feeding a Calico Rabbit, and completing Olaf’s Grand Exhibition Dazzle Beach room.
