Make a trade with this precious Wudwud!

The adorable Wudud, Rove, plays a critical role in the Monster Hunter Wilds storyline, helping you uncover the secrets of the Guardian Arkveld. After completing his mission, you may have trouble finding him, even if you return to his hideout. Here’s a look into Rove’s location.

MH Wilds Rove locations, explained

You can find Rove at the Iceshard Cliffs Base Camp or Area 20. If you participate in the Aberrant Atrocity side quest, he’ll likely be at Area 20. Open the map and select the lower level to locate this zone. It’s the same destination you’ve encountered during the main story, but it’s slightly more challenging to pin down this time. When you enter the lower level, you should see his Item Trade icon, which you can mark for quicker travel.

I’ve noticed that sometimes Rove isn’t there at night, so you may need to rest until the daytime. If you still can’t find him, he’s probably at the Iceshard Cliffs’ Base Camp. I discovered him there after completing Aberrant Atrocitry, just beside the main entrance.

Remember, Rove’s location can change depending on the time of day or active mission. But if you check both the Base Camp and Area 20, you’re likely to find him. He’s not just a great ally in quests but also a fantastic resource for trading. He often initiates trades with Chaliceweeds, a rare resource that can lead to some high-rarity rewards with a bit of RNG luck.

Sometimes, Rove will exchange Hidden Armor Set resources for the Chaliceweed, unlocking recipes within the Smithy. You can either seek out Rove yourself by traveling to Iceshard Cliffs. Or you can talk to Nata at the Base Camp to initiate the Item Trades and Material Retrievals through him. Many other residents are available for trading at Nata’s Village Intermediary, including the adorable Scarlet Forest Wudwuds.
