How to hunt Raw Prime Meat in Tears of the Kingdom

The animals of Tears of the Kingdom aren’t too hard to hunt, though you do need to know where to find them first. Typically, it’s the medium-sized creatures that drop Raw Prime Meat. The following animals will provide Raw Prime Meat if they are killed:

  • Deer
  • Water Buffalo
  • Wolves

These animals are found all over Hyrule. A good spot to start practicing in is Satori Mountain where there are plenty of water buffalo. To hunt an animal, sneak close to it, load up an arrow, and release, preferably at the head to increase your chances of taking the beast down in one hit. If you manage to get close enough, animals can also be killed by swiping them with a sword.

Do not use fire when hunting, or else your meat won’t be raw. Using ice is also ill-advised, as your meat will end up frozen. If you’re not in the mood to hunt, you can also obtain Raw Prime Meat by scanning an amiibo. The Wolf Link amiibo is the one that provides the Raw Prime Meat, so ensure you have the right figurine.

What to ue Raw Prime Meat for in Tears of the Kingdom

The obvious option when you have Raw Prime Meat is to cook it. It can be cooked on its own, or salted, to make a delicious heart-replenishing Meat Skewer. Add Spicy Pepper to make a Spicy Pepper Steak. If you’re feeling a little more adventurous, try the following recipes:

  • Creamy Meat Soup – Make this tasty dish by throwing Raw Prime Meat, a Swift Carrot, Milk, and Rock Salt into a pot.
  • Meat Pie – This requires Tabantha Wheat, Raw Prime Meat, Goat Butter, and Rock Salt.
  • Crunchy Fried Rice – Gather Raw Prime Meat, Hylian Rice, a Bird Egg, and an Oil Jar to make this meal.
  • Dark Stew – This dish requires Raw Prime Meat, any kind of Fish, and a Dark Clump. It provides Gloom Resistance.

If you’ve got money on your mind, attach two pieces of meat to two weapons, head to a cold area, and attempt the frozen meat glitch. If done correctly, it makes Link rich in no time. While it can currently be performed on all versions, including 1.1.2, expect it to be patched out eventually.

If you want meat that sells for more, consider hunting for Raw Gourmet Meat. It can also be used to make delicious dishes and perform the frozen meat glitch.
