Even though ARK: Scorched Earth originally release for ARK: Survival Evolved as DLC back in 2016, a new remastered and upgraded version is coming to ARK: Survival Ascended (ASA). Scorched Earth will be free for owners of ARK: Survival Ascended. This is when ARK: Scorched Earth releases for ARK: Survival Ascended.
ARK: Scorched Earth (ASA) release time
Update: As of 5:57 pm PST, Studio Wildcard has indicated ARK: Scorched Earth is going to be going live momentarily, but that a bug with transferring characters exists and therefore official servers will not be released for another 1.5 hours (at 7:30 pm PST). However, it doesn’t appear that Scorched Earth has popped up to be downloaded just yet. We will update this if there is any new news.
Update 2: ARK: Scorched Earth now available on Steam. The update is 42.55 GB total in size. As of now, Official Servers are still not available.
ARK: Scorched Earth is currently scheduled to release on April 1 at 6 pm PST. It’s undergone a couple of delays, but hopefully this is when it will actually launch. The release time is the same for both PC and consoles. Here is the release time for different locations in the world:
- Pacific Time: 6 pm PST on April 1
- Mountain Time: 7 pm MST on April 1
- Central Time: 8 pm CST on April 1
- Eastern Time: 9 pm EST on April 1
- UTC: 1 am UTC on April 2
- London: 2 am BST on April 2
- Berlin: 3 am CEST on April 2
- Moscow: 4 am MSK on April 2
- Dubai: 5 am on April 2
- Mumbai: 6:30 am IST on April 2
- Beijing: 9 am CST on April 2
- Tokyo: 10 am JST on April 2
- Sydney: 12 pm AEDT on April 2
Has ARK: Scorched Earth for ASA been delayed?
Originally ARK: Scorched Earth was scheduled to release for ARK: Survival Ascended on March 31. However, due to it being a Sunday and being Easter holiday around most of the world, the delay was postponed by one day for April 1.
On April 1, Scorched Earth originally had a release time of 4 pm PST. However, Studio Wildcard announced about an hour before the release that they needed a bit more time and that the new release time is now 6 pm PST. Unfortunately, this is usually a pretty common theme with ARK as ARK: Survival Ascended suffered several delays on the release date pushing the actual release back many hours.
We’ll update here any time we see a new Scorched Earth delay, as well as the release time above, so you know the latest information. Here are all the delays so far:
- March 29 Delay # 1 – Delayed to April 1 at 4 pm PST.
- April 1 Delay # 2 – Delayed to April 1 at 6 pm PST.
- April 1 Delay # 2 – According to Studio Wildcard, Scorched Earth will be going live around the scheduled 6 pm PST time but Official Servers will not be released for another 1.5 hours.
