Wow.
I mean … wow.
Please, if you will, imagine Sephiroth Andrew Martin in third grade, at which point it is highly unlikely that he will be a badass anywhere near worthy of his name. Imagine other kids asking “What’s your name?” And then, imagine a skinny, pimply, awkward seven year old kid replying “Sephiroth.”
I’m all for gamer references when it comes to your loved ones (it’s quite funny to name your fish Sephiroth, for example), but naming your kid after one of the most memorable game villains of all time is just downright wrong. That kid is going to suffer so much by the time he is finished high school that he is going to fantasize about killing his parents. Even worse, he may hate the source his name came from, which totally negates the coolness of using a game reference in the first place.
So yeah. it’s goes without saying, but don’t do this to your kid. Ever.
