Sing a Song of Shang Tsung

Welcome to the weekend. It’s been kind of a strange week for video game fans, and it’s always that way post-E3. There’s often a sort of “fatigue” that sets in a little, a sense of maybe overdosing on video game news, reveals and trailers, with the brain attempting to take a step back from all of the digital overload. I know that’s what’s going on in my head at least. I’d step outside, but I have no place to be.

Instead I’ve been slumped inside all week, mopping up leftover news and stories from last week’s convention chaos. In terms of actually playing games, I gave my itchy trigger-fingers a good scratch with Devolver’s madcap shooter My Friend Pedro. I also spent some time hanging with shapeshifting sorcerer Shang Tsung, who joined the Mortal Kombat 11 roster (for Kombat Pack owners) earlier this week. His body-morphing hi-jinx have always entertained me, and his latest incarnation is no different.

But what about you? Did E3 momentarily burn you out? Perhaps it supercharged you, reigniting a spark that had been missing for a while. This week saw the launch of Judgment, Crash Team Racing: Nitro-Fueled, and the long, long, long-awaited Bloodstained. Let us know below if you’ve been hitting any of these new games, or anything else for that matter.

Have a wonderful weekend, from all of us at Destructoid.
