Whatcha been playing this week, Destructoid?

Me and my gals

Welcome to the weekend, brothers and sisters! Once again we’ve all pushed through and hopefully come out on the other side a little happier, a little healthier and a little wiser. Not only that, but it’s September, which brings with it a whole host of great, highly-anticipated releases, just waiting to eat up the rest of our year, in lieu of far more sensible activities.

This week, my playing time has mostly been divided between two fighting games from the more relaxed side of the market, namely Blade Strangers and SNK Heroines: Tag Team Frenzy. As you may or may not have read in my reviews (you better have read, sunshine) Both games are somewhat flawed but fun fighting titles, perfect for those who just wanna throw down with buddies, or perhaps work out some of the week’s stresses without having to break too much of a sweat over one-frame reversals, move-buffering or other such high-level shenanigans.

But what have all y’all been playing this week, or perhaps have lined up for your weekend? Are you webslinging through New York City as Peter Parker? Or desperately trying to make room in your backlog for Shadow of the Tomb Raider or some other upcoming release? Maybe you have too much to get through already, and thus have just been casually playing through some old favourites. Whatever takes your pleasure, be sure to let us know!

Have a wonderful weekend, from all of us at Destructoid.
