What the what? Pac-Man’s bizarre new TV show

Recommended Videos

I hate being that guy, but I’m left with no other choice here. Shown at the Pac-Man 30th Birthday Party at E3 was the attached teaser trailer for an Avi Arad-produced Pac-Man television show. It’s not the beloved character’s first foray into the kids’ show scene, but I’m calling it now: it’s his most bizarre yet.

The footage is blurry, unless you happen to be wearing a pair of 3D glasses — even then, it’s still probably a little hard to make out. This show, should it ever fully come to fruition, is what happens when Pac-Man goes to high school while battling evil alien ghost things.

Back when games like Pac-Man were first coming out, we were asked to use our imaginations to aid the less-than-desirable visuals presented before us. I’ll admit it, I was — and continue to be — an exceptionally weird, imaginative guy, but even I could never take a concept like Pac-Man and turn it into this show.

So bizarre.
