What is your favorite videogame romance?

ScrewAttack is in Valentine’s Day mode and has made with the lovey-dovey videos. Above is the latest episode of the fairly new The Best EVER! series, and this week’s topic is videogame couples. The video focuses on Locke and Celes from Final Fantasy VI, Luigi and Daisy from the Mario universe, and Ryu Hayabusa and Irene Lew from Ninja Gaiden, but I’m sure you all have your own picks.

If there was one pairing that really stands out in my mind, it would be Kafei and Anju from Majora’s Mask. The two were engaged until Kafei was turned into a child and his ceremonial wedding mask got stolen. In the game’s longest side quest, Link helps to reunite the two, though Kafei remains in his cursed child form. Nevertheless, with only hours before the moon’s collision, the couple embrace, ready to greet the end of the world in each other’s arms. It’s a sad yet extremely powerful moment.

What is your fave game couple? Also, if you aren’t into the mushy stuff and would prefer some T&A, ScrewAttack also released this very NSFW video entitled “Top 10 Games That Make You Want to Bone.” Tasteful.
