In World of Warcraft 10.2, following the Guardians of the Dream main story quest will eventually bring you to the Amirdrassil raid. You will receive a raid quest called The Power of Dreams which tasks you with essentially clearing the raid and gathering Echoed Ephemera. Sounds easy enough, but what is Echoed Ephemera in WoW 10.2?
The Power of Dreams quest guide — How to get Echoed Ephemera
You will automatically obtain Echoed Ephemera simply by killing bosses in the Amirdrassil raid on any difficulty. If you loot the boss after killing it, you will notice there are a few Echoed Ephemera in the obtained loot. Unfortunately, there is a cap of only 10 Echoed Ephemera that you can obtain per week. Therefore, it will take five weeks in total to complete this quest if you are hitting the maximum every week.
Alongside the 50 Echoed Ephemera, you will also need to kill four bosses: Igira, Larodar, Smolderon, and Tindral. Killing each of these bosses while on the quest will drop their specific quest item. Once you have killed all four bosses and obtained the 50 Echoed Ephemera, you can complete The Power of Dreams quest.
How to see how much Echoed Ephemera you have
Oddly enough, Echoed Ephemera is not an actual inventory item nor does it show up in your currency tab. The only way to see your progress of obtained Echoed Ephemera is to look at the quest. If you look under The Power of Dreams quest in your journal, it will show your total obtained Echoed Ephemera.
The Power of Dreams quest reward
Completion of The Power of Dreams quest will reward you 84 Gold and 27 Silver. Big reward, huh? However, the more important reward is the Incandescent Essence. This is a reusable Helmet enchant that is based on your specialization. Essentially, it adds a permanent buff on your buff bar that will notate the current effect. This is essentially a late-game helmet enchant, which will provide a nice buff to your characters who have been raiding each week.
That is what is Echoed Ephemera in WoW 10.2. Now that you know how to get it, you can plan out how to complete The Power of Dreams quest.
Echoed Ephemera Bug
Unfortunately, it appears there is a bug with Echoed Epherma at the moment. The fifth week since the raid dropped, starting December 12, should technically be when players hit 50 Echoed Ephemera and can complete the quest to unlock the enchant. However, a pesky bug seems to be holding some players just short, allowing them to only reach 47/50 or even 49/50, and unable to complete the quest until next week. Hopefully Blizzard hotfixes this as as it stands those players will be a week behind on getting their enchant despite having done the quest properly.
