There was something about the VHS days that brought out the goofiest tips and promotional videos from game makers. Especially Nintendo. The most memorable one that comes to mind is their Star Fox SNES promo that had Sony and Sega trying to steal Nintendo’s game. You should hit up YouTube and see what the glory days were like, you punk ass children.

But what if Nintendo still made promotional videos like they used to in the 90s? YouTube channel My Life in Gaming took a stab at what a VHS-style tips guide would be like for Super Mario 3D World and it’s just spot on. From the lame transition graphics, washed out video quality, and overblown presentation. The only thing that’s missing is skits from some hip and diverse looking kids.
