What happens when Crit Chance is over 100 in Megabonk?

A lot of Megabonking, apparently.

In Megabonk boking enemies is the name of the game, the goal being to do it so hard thunders clap around the map.

Critical strike chance, much like in hundreds of other games, gives you a ton of extra damage potential, enabling you to do twice the damage. But what happens if you have more than 100 percent crit chance, are those items you picked up just worthless past that point? Here’s everything you need to know.

What if your Crit Chance is more than 100 percent in Megabonk

Critical strikes in Megabonk come from a variety of items and upgrades you can get during a match. These stack additively, meaning two 10 percent Crit Chance items equal 20 percent, and so on. These stacks aren’t limited and can, essentially, go into infinity.

Having more than 100 percent Crit Chance enables Overcrits, which significantly increase your Critical Strike Damage. While a sub-100 Crit Chance gives you the potential to strike at twice your damage, over 100 gives you extra odds for additional crits. For example, if you have 150 percent Crit Chance, you’ll always land that x2 crit, and have a 50 percent chance for x4. At 200 percent, you always have a double crit, i.e., x4. At 300, you crit three times at once (x6), and so on.

This damage potential is amplified by Critical Strike Damage buffs from items, Tomes, and upgrades, meaning you can stack an incredible amount of crit damage, to the point of utterly bricking the game.

Keep in mind that Overcrits are different from Megacrits, which are a separate stat that amplifies your regular crits, causing them to do massively more damage. This means that, if you have a ton of stacked Crit Chance, your Megacrits could wreck most enemies in the game with relative ease, provided you have enough base damage to boot.
