We’re about a month out from Five Nights at Freddy’s World

The supposedly final game

What the heck is up with the new Five Nights at Freddy’s? Will it be an honest-to-goodness JRPG as originally shown, or is there something more sinister underneath that suspiciously upbeat veneer? Either way, I’m curious to see how fans will react. Won’t be much longer now.

In a message posted to Steam, designer Scott Cawthon said recent computer issues and his newborn son (congrats!) have kept him extra busy, but Five Nights at Freddy’s World should release on February 19, 2016. He expects the mobile versions to drop in the weeks to follow.

“It’s become a bigger game than I’d first planned it to be,” Cawthon said earlier this month, “but that’s a good thing! I’m busy adding power-ups and shops, as well as a few different ways to beat the game. I’m also busy creating secret bosses! 😉 Since I’m still planning on this being the last FNaF game, I want it to be a really great experience.”
