How to farm DOS Coins

DOS Coins are vital to your survival in WTTG3. They are the main currency used to purchase DarkDrop and they introduce multiple opportunities to hinder your competitors’ progress.
The main way to farm DOS Coins is via VirtMesh. Select a computer to either hack into (mount) or steal coins (mine). This is the first software you install at the start of the game. But it does not have infinite uses. Just like browsing Dark Net or keeping an ear out for Tanner and Lucas, you cannot stay in one spot for too long. VirtMesh doesn’t let you stay on a hijacked computer indefinitely. Instead, you need to swap from one to another (be it for mining or mounting) so that the PC you’ve hacked doesn’t lock you out.
Hijack computers with INJ3KT-R, a grid minigame where you must path a route from A to B with arrow keys. The path must always alternate between light and dark tiles. Failure will close access to that computer. In the base network of VirtMesh, be sure to mine from NetVorn (1.45 DOS), UserJyx (1.80 DOS), and WebTyk (1.84 DOS).
You can also get DOS Coins by completing requests. But more on that later.
Protect your DOS Coins

Both Lucas and your competitors will gladly take DOS Coins off you. Lucas will try this every time he visits the motel. Meanwhile, the NPCs you are up against to find and decrypt Keys before they do will send hackers your way to steal money.
Lucas won’t take anything if you turn off the computer when you hear him at the back door. You can do so by clicking the power button in the bottom-left corner of the screen. Use motion sensors to warn you, so you have enough time to shut down your PC before he arrives.
You can use the NOP Sled to bypass the minigame completely. There’s also a way for you to get payback: contact hackers on A.C.R.S and have them target a specific player.
If a competitor has a Backdoor installed, an unsuccessful hack will backfire on you and a small fee in DOS Coins will be deducted from your account. However, if executed on an NPC who doesn’t have a Backdoor and fails to defend the incoming hack, you will take a portion of their DOS supply. This can set them back when saving for DarkDrop items or a killer’s services.
In extreme cases, you can convert your DOS Coin into YoloYen via BitHit and spam the gambling app, Merramun. You can then exchange your winnings again on BitHit to make a profit.
How to build Rep

Just like VirtMesh, there are two more apps you’ll be prompted to download, which are ShadowFetch and A.C.R.S. You will rely on both to help build Rep. ShadowFetch’s purpose is to convert URLs into MP4s, giving you videos you can send to users you’ve pinged on A.C.R.S. It costs DOS Coin to convert files, so only pay the fee when you know someone is looking for that specific one.
The best way to increase your Rep level in WTTG3 is by completing NPC requests you find on A.C.R.S. This is the global chat room where your competitors, hackers, dealers, and Dark Web users flock. Treat this place like RPG side quests. This chat room resets every half hour, so remember to PING any user that catches your eye to ensure their request stays active. Successfully evading a hack also gives you Rep XP.
While the A.C.R.S is overall a helpful tool should you need to handle Cletus, what you’re looking for are video file requests. To complete them, you must gather Fetch URLs off the Dark Net, convert and download them as MP4 on ShadowFetch and sell them for DOS Coin and Rep.
NPCs will ask for website URLs and videos. Check the Dark Wiki. Even if the network is blocking you from accessing the site, you can still copy and paste the URL. Scour the A.C.R.S. chat room to find and complete requests. Any dealer that matches your Rep level or user asking for URLs, videos, or has a job for you can be selected via their username and pinged to open a private messaging on CryptChat.
Where to find Keys

There are eight Keys you need to find to beat the game; you must search for more Dark Wikis along the way. These include more websites home to potential Key Hashes. Wiki pages appear as .ann URLs, which can be copied and pasted directly into A.N.N. to access a new list of websites. This time around, you’re not doing this alone. There are four others competing against you. So it’s a race against both the clock and other Dark Net dwellers.
Keys randomly spawn every time you start a new game. As sites are known to either be open, timed, or inaccessible, it’s best to know what you’re looking for so you’re not going in completely blind. Keys can pop up in plain sight on a page, displaying a number between one and eight, followed by a short random assortment of letters and numbers.
When searching for a Key hidden behind a page element, hover over letters and pictures, and check the source code by clicking on the magnifying glass in the top-right corner of the A.N.N. browser. On a page, any hidden Key Hash can be revealed by hovering directly over it, making your cursor clickable. On the Source Code Viewer, Key Hashes are written in full.
Unlike previous games where the goal is to find all Keys, you must get them decrypted by an agent in A.C.R.S, (which costs a fee).
How to block and send hacks

Hacks will start coming your way from 9:30pm. Be ready, as these will only get harder as time goes on, for your opponents are willing to spend more to set you back and put you at risk of a potential assassination attempt. Here’s what to expect with each hack in Welcome to the Game 3:
- K3RN3LC0MP1LER: Type what is written line by line, letter by letter, in the allotted time.
- TOKENINE: Create the shape on the right with two to three of the options in the grid of nine.
- memDEALLOCATOR: Fill the ALLOCATING bar at the top by clicking on the key when it appears at the bottom of the screen.
- shiftSEQ: Use WASD to move around the network, using charge to destroy the infected node by spamming SPACEBAR. Return to the center to recharge, pressing SPACEBAR again when the pulse overlaps with the perimeter for an immediate full charge. Stay at the center to destroy the infected arrow when it hits the perimeter. Repeat until all nodes are destroyed.
- stackPUSHER: Avoid the skulls similar to Minesweeper and move the files into the center by dragging them over. You can only drag a file when your cursor on the grid is one square away from said file.
How to take out the competition

Sometimes, you might need to send one of the killers to a competitor. There are users on A.C.R.S you can get in contact with and pay a fee to doxx them. After this, you need another contact that will send out a hit using the info gathered when they were doxxed. This is one of the most expensive features, but well worth it if you’re approaching the end of this unforgiving game.
