When I first heard word of a new Red Faction game, I wasn’t too excited. I absolutely adored the first Red Faction, but the second one destroyed my love for the series (plus, it doesn’t help that Red Faction 1 does not stand the test of time). After reading Nick Chester’s preview of Red Faction 3, I got excited, but I was still a little skeptical.
This new preview from IGN has me completely excited for the game now. The big changes to the series look so good: the third-person view, open-world exploration and real-life destruction physics have put the game on my radar. My only question now is whether I’ll still have the ability to just make endless tunnels to nowhere, like in the first game.
