Weekend Deals: Civ VI, Steam Summer Sale, and cheaper games thanks to the Brexit

2K Games usually keeps a tight lid on big releases like Civilization VI, so it’s refreshing to see there’s an exception to that rule this weekend. Currently at GMG there’s a discount code that knocks 23 percent off the strategy game’s asking price (down to $46.19). The same coupon applies to this August’s Deus Ex: Mankind Divided and the deluxe editions of both games.

While you can still hear Rule Britannia being played overseas, the pound sterling took a hit after the Brexit vote, resulting in PC game deals for folks in the USA. Due to a favorable currency conversion this weekend, you can pick up Watch_Dogs 2 at FunStock Digital for only $39.70 or No Man’s Sky for $49.62. At GamesPlanet, you’ll only see British prices listed, but you can buy worldwide and after conversion titles like Total War: Warhammer and Assassin’s Creed Syndicate are at or near their all-time lows.

Also at GMG this weekend is a Warner Bros. sale with discounts up to 75 percent off instantly and a stacking coupon code. Their headliner for the sale is Batman: Arkham Knight, which is silly because we’re not sure who’d still want to grab a copy right now (plus the game is cheaper at Steam’s Summer Sale). Besides that though, the sale is pretty decent and we’re seeing new historic low price on Mad Max for only $13; Middle-Earth: Shadows of Mordor GOTY for $9; Mortal Kombat X Premium, and more.

Last, but certainly not least, in weekend deals is the big Steam Summer Sale. The daily deals and flash sales are a thing of the past, but now through July 4 at 10am Pacific, you can pretty much name your game and find some sort of discount on it. Along with Steam’s, a few other Summer Sales are also lurking on the web, including Origin Infinite Sale and the Games Republic Summer Sale. On Steam, our pick includes $36 Doom; $36 XCOM 2; $16.49 ARK: Survival Evolved, and the first discount on the popular YouTubers Life.
