We’re not sure how, and we’re especially not sure why, but Destructoid and 2K Games are locked in never ending food eating battle. It started with a pie eating contest with P.B. Winterbottom’s producer Paul Bellezza, which they had TO CHEAT IN ORDER TO WIN.
Our second battle was going to be a five-versus-five contest that was supposed to take place during the Game Developers Conference last week. 2K’s Jennie Sue had set up the fight where we would be chowing down on 120 Lumpias. Sadly, we couldn’t make it over as GDC is just all sorts of chaos and what not.
It’s not over though. Oh no, not by a long shot. I’m all set for a rematch with Paul Bellezza during his P.B. Winterbottom panel at PAX East next week and we’re already talking to 2K about another battle at their offices down the line.
Why are we going through all this trouble? For one simply reason, my friends: JOURNALISM!
