The newest 3DMark trailer comes from one of their DirectX 11 showcase benchmarks. They call this real-time test their most ambitious ever. It features:
Tessellation, dynamic particle illumination and shadowing, smoke simulation using grid-based fluid dynamics, volume ray casting with shadows and a wide variety of post processing effects including depth of field, blooms, distortions and various lens effects
I know what some of that means. Put together, it makes for an impressive clip. If you want to see the “Fire Strike” trailer in its full glory, at 2560 x 1440 resolution, click the quality setting on YouTube and set it to “original.” And then buffer.
They say this is one of three tests coming for high-end gaming PCs.
