John P. McAllister, holder of 29 videogame world records on Twin Galaxies, is making an attempt to take the record on Asteroids. And you can watch him do it!

As of right now, based on chatter in the Justin.tv channel he’s streaming on, he’s somewhere around 33 million points and has stretched the number of extra lives well past the visual limit of the screen. It’s hard to keep track of his exact score, due to the score rolling over every hundred thousand points, but it’s damn fascinating to watch.

The score to beat? 41,336,440 points. Not much farther now. Best of luck, John!
