Watch Dogs on Wii U will not have any DLC

After months of waiting, after delay upon delay, Ubisoft will be giving Wii U owners nothing to be excited about when they pick up their version of Watch Dogs in November. According to the official Twitter account for the game, none of the DLC or extras will make it into the Wii U edition. Not at launch, and not after.

Due to all the waiting it would have been a nice gesture to Wii U-only fans to pack-in the add-ons for them, but of course, that’s asking too much. I’ll never forget that one fateful E3 when Ubisoft went up on stage and praised the Wii U, promising tons of support for it. Now they’ve basically left it in a gutter.

At the end of the day it’s Nintendo’s responsibility to drum up support and sales for their own console. But it’s a two-way street, and Ubisoft’s swift abandonment of the Wii U sent a strong message to other third parties. It’s a shame.
