Warriors Orochi 4 Ultimate trailer introduces Earth Mother Goddess, Gaia

Dance of Death

Imagine being some schlub soldier in an army, and your commanding officer suddenly turns to you and says “The Earth Mother Goddess is here, take this stick and go get her…” This is the dilemma facing the cannon fodder in the latest trailer for Koei Tecmo’s Warriors Orochi 4 Ultimate.

Gaia, the aforementioned Earth Mother Goddess, is able to cut casual swathes through her armies of enemies via a series of balletic dance maneuvers, whose beauty belies the ultimate devastation wrought upon the saps who face her in battle. Despite her cheerful approach and petite frame, Gaia is able to call on almost immeasurable power from the planet, manifesting itself in giant armoured fists to clear out the opposition.

So, you know, maybe take that initial order under advisement.

Warriors Orochi 4 Ultimate launches in Japan on PS4 and Switch December 19. It will travel west – adding Xbox One and PC ports – on February 14.
