Warner Bros. formally cancels Batman: Arkham Knight on Mac

Don’t forget to apply for your refund

Warner Bros has confirmed that Batman: Arkham Knight has been cancelled for Mac/Linux platforms.

In a brief statement on Steam, the publisher said:

We are very sorry to confirm that Batman: Arkham Knight will no longer be coming to Mac and Linux. If you have pre-ordered Batman: Arkham Knight for Mac or Linux, please apply for a refund via Steam.

This should come as a surprise to no-one. The game launch on PC has been disastrous, resulting in its withdrawn from Steam back in June, and then subsequent offers of refunds.

Co-developer Rocksteady maintained that it took the issues “very seriously” and was working closely with the PC developer IronGalaxy to “address the issues ASAP,” but eventually even Rocksteady’s co-founder “supported the decision to suspend the PC version.”

Batman: Arkham Knight was released on June 23, 2015, for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.

If you’ve pre-ordered it, make sure you apply to Steam for a refund as it won’t happen automatically…
