War of the Roses beta sign-ups have been proclaimed

Good news, medieval combat fans: developer Fatshark has decided to move War of the Roses into beta and is now accepting applications. The game will focus around third-person melee and ranged combat with a 15th-century flavor, while set during some of the battles between England’s House Lancaster and York.

Fatshark and Paradox Interactive are also offering an incentive to spread the word about the beta. When you sign-up, you are given a referral URL that you can share with your friends or post on whichever form of social media that tickles your fancy on that particular day. When five players sign up through your referral URL, you will gain a guaranteed spot in the beta.

Not a bad deal, especially if you can’t wait to shove a dagger in someone’s face.
