War for Cybertron DLC characters selling for $100 on eBay

Wait, what?

As unbelievable as it sounds, the DLC preorder characters from Transformers: War for Cybertron are currently for sale on eBay, and are actually raking in some mad bank. Shockwave, Jazz and Demolisher, previously only available from GameStop, Best Buy and Amazon respectively, are making their sellers anywhere between $30 and $100!

Shockwave is the cheapest, averaging a $30 cost, while Jazz typically sells for around $50. Apparently not many people preordered War for Cybertron from Amazon, as Demolisher is averaging $100 a sale. And yes, these things are selling! One $96 Demolisher code has seen over forty bids thus far.

DLC codes on eBay are not a new phenomenon, but this recent little sale has confirmed just how strangely viable a market it is. It also strikes me as funny how preorders must have been low since people were so skeptical of the game, and now they’re regretting it after finding out how good it is.

Also, is this a bad time to mention that I got my hands on all three characters for nothing?
