Want Retro Game Challenge 2 localized? Open up that wallet

In a recent Siliconera interview with Xseed’s President Jun Iwasaki and Director of Publishing Ken Berry, there’s a tad bit of tit for tat over what would need to happen in order for Retro Game Challenge 2 to leave Japan. Ken says the original game needs to sell 20,000 more copies for the sequel to come to the States, where Jun says the game needs to sell 100,000. When you’re throwing out random numbers regarding huge business decisions that have clearly not been given much prior discussion, why not shoot for the moon, right?

On a more serious note, I want Retro Game Challenge to be localized in a bad way. I loved the original game, and from what I’ve seen, the sequel is even better. If I weren’t knee deep in game reviews, or sober, I might just launch a “Buy Retro Game Challenge and I’ll bake you cookies” contest or other such nonsense.

Stay tuned to this channel for other such nonsense.
