It’s funny how this works. Do I need playing cards? No, I’m good. I have some. But then a wild Dragon Quest-branded card set appears. Ask me again: Do I need playing cards? Yeah, I probably need a new set.

Square Enix just revealed two more additions to the Dragon Quest 25th Anniversary merchandise collection. The first are these awesome playing cards with pixel graphics of Dragon Quest enemies. These Dragon Quest Dot Monster Trump Playing Cards will be available in Japan in early September for 1,200 yen (about $15). AmiAmi has these cards available for pre-order now.

There’s also some Dragon Quest jigsaw puzzles coming this fall to Japan. The three sets are actually the box art for the first three DQ games, They’ll be 630 yen a piece ($8), says Gameswag.
